Sex After Cancer
This was one of our recent presentations. It took place on June 19th, 2025, at the Ken Lepin Theatre in the Royal Inland Hospital.
Dr. Maureen Leia-Stephen, MD, FRCS(c), and Jennifer Edgecombe, MRSc, CCEP, discussed the nuances of the often-overlooked topic of sexuality after cancer. Dr. Leia-Stephen analyzed the effects of cancer treatment on female sexual health and well-being, offering insight into navigating these changes. Jennifer Edgecombe addressed the stigma that surrounds sexual health conversations, the lack of education and dialogue in survivorship care, and the global efforts underway to address these gaps.
